Springfield Township is making it easy to be environmentally friendly! 🌎 Join us for our Electronics Recycling Day to safely and responsibly dispose of your old, unwanted, or broken electronics and appliances.

The event is open to all Springfield Township and surrounding area residents.

When: Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (or until the truck is full).

Where: Springfield Elementary School, 1950 PA 212, Quakertown, PA 18951.


Free Recycling

A wide variety of items can be recycled at no cost, including:

  • Desktop Computers (monitors require a fee)

  • Laptops, Keyboards, and Mice

  • Printers, Fax Machines, Cables, and Cords

  • Cell Phones and Laptop Batteries (please remove cell phone batteries beforehand)

  • DVD Players, VCRs, and Gaming Systems

  • Microwaves, Small Appliances, and Metal Items

  • Car Batteries and Exercise Equipment


Items Requiring a Fee

Some items require a small disposal fee.

Please bring cash or a check payable to "Responsible Recycling Services" or "RRS".

  • Appliances:

    • Washer, Dryer, Stove, or Dishwasher: $20

    • Air Conditioner, Dehumidifier, or Dorm Fridge: $25

    • Refrigerator or Floor Freezer: $35

  • TVs & Monitors:

    • Computer Monitor: $20

    • TVs under 42": $40

    • TVs over 42" (including console, projection, or broken screen TVs): $60

  • Other Services:

    • Offsite Hard Drive Destruction: $10 (includes a certificate)

    • Offsite Document Destruction:

      $10 per box (includes a certificate)
